Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC)

Established in 2003, the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) at Bundelkhand University serves as a cornerstone of academic excellence, dedicated to enhancing the quality of education and institutional performance. In alignment with the National Action Plan of the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), the IQAC fosters a culture of continuous improvement across all academic and administrative functions, focusing on sustainable quality enhancement. The IQAC operates under the expert guidance of the university’s advisory board, aiming to promote and sustain academic excellence. Its core objectives include:

  • Inculcating a Value System among students
  • Promoting the Use of Technology
  • Encouraging a Quest for Excellence in research and academics
The IQAC develops systems for conscious, consistent, and catalytic action to enhance both academic and administrative performance, internalizing a culture of quality and institutionalizing  best practices.

Keys Achievements & Contributions under Excellent Leadership

Under the excellent leadership of Director Prof. Sunil Kumar Kabia and a dedicated proficient team, the IQAC has made significant strides, culminating in remarkable accomplishments:

  • Achieved NAAC Grade A++ with a CGPA of 3.53 in 2024.
  • Consistently ranked among the Top 100 institutions by NIRF in 2024
  • Secured the prestigious PM-USHA (MERU) Project with funding of 100 Crore.
  • Successfully promoted teachers under the Career Advancement Scheme (CAS) and enhanced recruitment processes.
  • Oversaw the implementation of ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 9001:2015 certifications through meticulous quality management efforts, including quality manual preparation and performance indicator mapping.
  • Achieved 100% implementation of ICT-enabled classrooms, transforming learning environments  The Active Startup Incubation Council (BASIC) incubated 28 startups, fostering innovation and entrepreneurship culture .
  • Enhanced green initiatives, including a 40 MW rooftop solar power installation and Geo-tagging over 32,000 trees on campus.
  • Established the university as a Regional Centre for Virtual Lab in collaboration with IIT Kanpur.
  • Launched a unique Geological Museum and opened a water testing facility for the local community Played a pivotal role in acquiring ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 9001:2015 certifications, enhancing the quality of teaching, learning, research, and infrastructure.
  • Enhanced student participation in sports and cultural activities, leading to numerous achievements in events like Khelo India.
  • Adopted five villages under the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan to educate the community on developmental schemes.
