The Equal Opportunity Cell (EOC) at Bundelkhand University, Jhansi is dedicated to ensuring equity, inclusivity, and social justice within the academic ecosystem. In alignment with the guidelines of the University Grants Commission (UGC), the Cell functions as a proactive mechanism to ensure that students and staff from marginalized and underrepresented communities—including Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), minority groups, women, persons with disabilities (PwDs), and economically weaker sections (EWS)—have equal access to academic resources, opportunities, and support services.

To support disadvantaged groups through counseling, skill development, and welfare schemes.
To redress grievances related to discrimination or inequality in a timely and fair manner.
Core FunctionsPolicy Implementation: Ensuring effective execution of reservation and welfare policies for SC, ST, OBC, minorities, women, EWS, and PwDs.
Support Services: Organizing remedial coaching, career counseling, mentorship, and academic guidance.
Sensitization Programs: Conducting seminars, awareness workshops, and training on inclusion, gender equity, and disability rights.
Infrastructure Accessibility: Promoting barrier-free buildings, ramps, signage in Braille, and assistive technologies for inclusive learning.
Coordination: Working in collaboration with the SC/ST Cell, Internal Complaint Committee (ICC), and other student support units.

Provision of assistive tools and learning aids for students with visual and hearing impairments.
Regular orientation sessions for newly enrolled students from marginalized communities.
