Internal Complaint Committee (ICC) – Bundelkhand University, Jhansi
In accordance with the guidelines laid down by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition, and Redressal) Act, 2013, Bundelkhand University, Jhansi has constituted an Internal Complaint Committee (ICC) to address complaints related to sexual harassment and ensure a safe, inclusive, and gender-sensitive environment on campus.
The ICC is committed to upholding the dignity, rights, and well-being of every student, staff, faculty member, and visitor by promoting zero tolerance towards any form of gender-based discrimination or misconduct. The Committee functions independently and ensures prompt redressal of complaints with fairness, sensitivity, and confidentiality.
Key Objectives:To prevent, prohibit, and address complaints of sexual harassment at the workplace.
To create awareness and sensitization about gender equality, workplace ethics, and grievance redressal.
To ensure that no woman is subjected to any form of discrimination or harassment.
Functions of the ICC:Receive and inquire into complaints of sexual harassment from students, faculty, and staff.
Conduct fair and impartial investigations in line with statutory provisions.
Recommend appropriate disciplinary action based on the findings.
Organize awareness and training programs on gender sensitization, women’s rights, and respectful workplace conduct.
Submit annual reports on the number of cases received and actions taken.
Accessibility & Confidentiality:The university ensures that the ICC is easily approachable to all members of the campus community. The identity of the complainant and all proceedings are kept strictly confidential in line with legal norms.
