NSS / NCC Overview

The NCC Army Wing (Sr. Boys) was incepted at the Bundelkhand University, Jhansi, in the Acacemic Session 2003 – 2004, with an approved intake of 50 cadets

As of now, there is strength of 130 Boys cadet on the Campus. Also women NCC wing has been incepted in the university from this session (2017-18). Encouragingly more than 100 girls cadets are presently in the campus. The University Coy, as a nursery of future young citizens of the country, is engaged in the noble tasks of nurturing and shaping the character of the youth by instilling in them the values of patriotism, service, courage, selflessness, devotion and discipline.

Objectives: The NCC Unit of the University, functioning under the administrative directions of 56 UP BN NCC, Jhansi, and which inturn works under the Group Headquarters, Kanpur.

    • To develop qualities of character, courage, comradeship, discipline, leadership, secular out look, spirit of adventure and sportsmanship and the ideals of selfless service among the University youth to make them useful citizens.
    • To create a human resource of organized, trained and activated youth, to provide leadership in all walks of life including the Armed Forces and always available for the service of the nation.
    Domain-Classes

    The youthful NCC wing of the University is enthusiastic, active, and devotionally committed to the aforesaid objectives. Alongside conducting the regular parade and drill activities the Unit also consistently organizing several other academic and physical activities to benefit the youth.

    Activities of NCC includes : Vigilance Awareness Week, Excursion Visit of NCC Cadets to Orchha and environs, Eco-Drive Campaign, and have convened several awareness rallies like on World Environment Day etc.
