Research Projects

All the engineering and science departments have established advanced research facilities during the last 5 years. As per the new Ph.D. ordinance the incumbent is required to publish atleast 2 papers before submission. The University has as on date over 2 dozen research projects ongoing.

The University encourages the faculty to bring funds through various research projects. The funding facilitates acquisition of lab and other infrastructure for the subject department

The University has provision for following facilities for smooth implementation of research projects:

  • Advancing funds for sanctioned projects
  • providing seed money
  • Simplification of procedures related to sanctions / purchases to be made by the investigators.
  • Autonomy to the principal investigator/coordinator for utilizing overhead charges
  • Timely release of grants.
  • Timely auditing
  • Submission of utilization certificate to the funding authorities

Zoology
  • Efficacy of Curculigo orchioides in deltamethrin induced reproductive toxicity in male Wistar rats. Funded by UGC. (Rs.12 lacs)
  • Taxonomic study of tapeworm of fresh water edible fishes in relation to water analysis of district Lalitpur (UP) India. Funded by UGC. (Rs. 6 lacs)
  • Study on Longevity and its Impact on Associated Traits in Drosophila ananassae. Funded by DST (SERB- Life Sciences) (Rs.20 lacs)
Biomedical Sciences
  • Anti-obesity activity of Medicinal Plants. Funded by Baidyanath (Amount-3.7)
Geology
  • Petrogenesis of mafic and ultramafic Magmatism at Madawara Igneous Complex, Bundelkhand Craton: Implications for Platinum group elements Metallogeny. Funded by Ministry of Mines (Rs.36.00 lacs)
  • Biogeochemistry & Isotopic study of water resources of Bundelkhand region, Funded by DST, Govt. of India for 2 yrs (2017-2019).
Environment & Dev. Studies
  • An integrated approach for domestic sewage treatment with resource recovery in constructed wetlands: a pilot study for water purification and vermicompost production. Funded by DST Water Tech. Initiatives (WTI). Rs.20 lacs.
  • Exploration of metals hyperaccumulators in water bodies of Bundelkhand region: an approach for remediation through aquatic microphytes, Funded by UPCST for three yrs. (2017-20)
Biotechnology Science
  • National Ambient Air Quality monitoring project on Environmental Biotechnology. Funded by UPPCB, Rs.6 lacs
Physics
  • Start Up grant project. Funded by UGC. Rs.10 lacs .
