RDC Council
The Subject wise Research Degree Committee (RDC) have been constituted by the Hon'ble Vice Chancellor to supervise the conduction of doctoral programs and the research activities of the School/Centre in general. Generally RDC includes 5-6 members in the committee i.e. Convener of the subject, 2-3 external experts of the subjects. The Committee is chaired by the of Hon’ble Vice Chancellor.
The University has Ordinances for doctoral research and a Research committee has been constituted to look after admissions to Ph.D. through written and oral entrance examinations and assignment of supervisor. Following successful completion of coursework, the Research Degree Committee (RDC) examines the Synopsis submitted by the candidate and recommends it's suitability as a topic of Ph.D in a given subject. The suitability of faculty members as Ph.D supervisors is also determined by the RDC. The University is the first in Uttar Pradesh in admitting students through admission test followed by coursework as per UGC Regulation, 2009 opted in our new Ordinance.
Thrust areas of focus are being identified for interdisciplinary research in faculties of Basic and Life Sciences, Social Sciences, Commerce, Arts and other faculties.
