Bundelkhand University, Girl’s Hostel

 The Bundelkhand University has Six Women’s Hostel on the Campus, Five for students and One for Working Women.

They are:

• Veerangana Jhalkari Bai Hostel – Capacity: 300
• G. Women’s Hostel- Capacity: 120
• Samta Girls Hostel – Capacity: 330
• Maharani Laxmi Bai Hostel- Capacity: 42
• Annexe Girls Hostel – Capacity: 50

The key objectives of the hostel are as following:

• To ensure that the students are able to devote adequate time for their studies and research;
• To ensure that students coming from different parts of the country and even abroad learn to live together and strengthen their relations with mutual cooperation and goodwill; and
• To develop a climate congenial for co-curricular and extra-curricular activities of students.

The Hostels have a dedicated power back-up through generators along with 24 hrs internet connectivity through Wi-Fi.  It also boasts of a well-managed & hygienic mess where nutritional needs and taste of students are taken care of with RO drinking water. For recreation Indoor & outdoor sports facilities are available on campus, The University Campus also has a departmental store to cater to day to day needs of the students. Television is made available in Common area.

Students are encouraged to organise cultural progammes, like Hostel Night, Navratri Celebrations, Ganesh Chaturthi etc, this leads to feeling of friendship and a congenial atmosphere in the hostel

Adequate water supply and 24*7 security arrangements ensure a pleasant stay allowing students to focus on the academics.

Ragging is strictly prohibited and is a punishable offense.

Alcohol or drug consumption is strictly prohibited, any such activity will lead to expulsion from hostel.

Outsiders are not allowed without prior permission.

No added electronic appliances are to be used in the hostel rooms.

Cooking inside hostel premises is not allowed.

All Residents are expected to maintain discipline at all times.

Wastage of food should be completely avoided.

Residents are not allowed to keep weapons & threatening items in their possession in the hostel premises.

Signature at the hostel gate for entry and exit is compulsory

Hostel is your home away from home, maintain it, and keep it clean and hygienic.

Everyone is responsible for the safety and cleanliness of their respective rooms/furniture.

Hostel timings are to be followed. Assembly time:

Winter timings: 6.30 pm (Deepawali to Holi)

Summer timings 7.00 pm (Holi to Deepawali)

It is compulsory to present for Assembly

Life at the Hostel
