Established in 2003, the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) at Bundelkhand University serves as a cornerstone of academic excellence, dedicated to enhancing the quality of education and institutional performance. In alignment with the National Action Plan of the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), the IQAC fosters a culture of continuous improvement across all academic and administrative functions, focusing on sustainable quality enhancement.

Funding & Infrastructure Secured the prestigious PM-USHA (MERU) Project with funding of ₹100 Crore and achieved 100% implementation of ICT-enabled classrooms.
Sustainability & Community Enhanced green initiatives, including a 40 MW rooftop solar power installation and Geo-tagging over 32,000 trees on campus.

Bundelkhand University Honoured with Special Recognition in UI GreenMetric World University Rankings 2025 Bundelkhand University, Jhansi has earned international recognition for its sustained commitment to environmental sustainability and green campus initiatives by securing a distinguished position in the UI GreenMetric World University Rankings 2025. According to the official UI GreenMetric Fact File, the university has been ranked 769th globally and 31st in India, placing it among the leading sustainable higher education institutions in the country . The UI GreenMetric World University Rankings 2025, coordinated by Universitas Indonesia, evaluated 1,745 universities from 105 countries, making it the world’s largest sustainability-focused university ranking system. The assessment framework is based on six core indicators: Setting and Infrastructure, Energy and Climate Change, Waste Management, Water Management, Transportation, and Education & Research, with a total score out of 10,000. Bundelkhand University achieved an overall sustainability score of 5,997.5 (59.98%), reflecting consistent performance across all categories, particularly in Energy and Climate Change, Waste Management, Transportation, and Education & Research. The university’s initiatives such as renewable energy adoption, sewage treatment systems, water conservation practices, green transportation facilities, ICT-enabled sustainability governance, and integration of sustainability in teaching and research significantly contributed to this achievement. .Prof. Sunil Kumar Kabia, Director, Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), represented Bundelkhand University in the UI GreenMetric evaluation process and received the recognition on behalf of the institution. Expressing his pride, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Mukesh Pandey stated that this global recognition is a reflection of the university’s long-term vision, institutional commitment, and collective efforts toward sustainable development and environmental stewardship. QS I-GAUGE Institution of Happiness (IOH) Award 2025-26

Bundelkhand University, Jhansi, has been honoured with the esteemed Institution of Happiness (IOH) Certified 2025-26 award by QS I-GAUGE, the India-specific rating system from globally renowned QS Quacquarelli Symonds. This prestigious recognition underscores the university's unwavering dedication to fostering a positive, inclusive, and well-being-oriented academic environment for its students, faculty, and staff. The certificate was awarded on 12 December 2025 in a ceremony held in New Delhi, presented by Mr. Ravin Nair, Managing Director, QS I-GAUGE. The award is based on an extensive stakeholder survey analysis involving students, faculty, and alumni, reflecting the institution's commitment to nurturing happiness and emotional well-being on campus.

About the Institution of Happiness (IOH) Award

The IOH is a flagship initiative by QS I-GAUGE that recognizes Indian schools, colleges, and universities for prioritizing mental health, stakeholder satisfaction, and holistic campus happiness. Through rigorous anonymous surveys and evidence of well-being initiatives, qualifying institutions receive this certification, highlighting environments where happiness drives better learning outcomes and resilience. The 2025-26 edition, themed "One Campus, Many Smiles: Celebrating Every Voice in Well-being", emphasizes inclusivity, emotional health, and diverse community engagement. In pursuance of the National Action Plan of the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), Bangalore, for performance evaluation, assessment and accreditation and quality upgradation of institutions of higher education, the NAAC proposes that every accredited institution should establish an Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) as a postaccreditation quality sustenance measure. Since quality enhancement is a continuous process, the IQAC will become a part of an institution’s system and work towards realising the goals of quality enhancement and sustenance. The prime task of the IQAC is to develop a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic improvement in the performance of institutions. The IQAC will make a significant and meaningful contribution in the postaccreditation phase of institutions. During the post-accreditation period, the IQAC will channelize the efforts and measures of an institution towards academic excellence
